Regarding a recent post here about the use of Comet
powdered cleaner for cleaning dirty cases...an even better choice
is a similar product called "Bar Keepers Friend."
This stuff WILL remove permanent marker in my experience. Pete

of the Crank & Chrome television show on TNN, "...are serious
dude when it comes to wanting a clean windshield. First, they clean
off all the grime and road film using a cleaner called Bar Keepers
Friend, a non-scratching polishing compound. Using plenty of water,
wipe it on the windshield in a circular motion with a pad or sponge
- then wipe it off. This lifts off a ton of grit. Then they mix some
isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) with vinegar then rub it on the
windshield with a folded paper towel. This will clean off any fingerprints
or water spots. It also does a great job of cleaning the inside of
the windshield too without leaving any streaks. Lastly, Sam and Dave
then "treat" the cleaned windshield with Rain-X. In states prone to
pouring rain outbursts, Rain-X makes the water virtually blow off
the windshield - offering a very clear view. |

recommends Bars Keepers Friend for cleanng smooth glass top ceramic
cooktops.
Cleaning dark marks from metal rubbing on glasstop must be removed
before they are heated. Heat can permanently cement them into the
surface. To clean copper marks, use Bar Keepers Friend.

Smooth Glass Top Ceramic Cooktop Cleaning 1. Copper
marks - rub with a plastic or other non- abrasive scrubber and a mildly
abrasive cleanser such as Bar Keepers Friend or Delete. 2. Aluminum
- place 2 paper towels soaked with diluted chlorine bleach (1 part
bleach to 4 parts water) on top of mark about 1 hour. Clean with a
non-abrasive cleanser such as Bar Keepers Friend. After using a cleanser
such as Bar Keepers Friend, recoat glasstop with a sparing application
of Cleaner Conditioner. Remove excess conditioner with a clean, damp
paper towel. Polish dry before heating the surface. |

Is there any way to remove or repair scratches on the bottom of
a stainless steel sink. We just bought a new expensive Kindred sink
and accidentally scratched the bottom in several places. I don't
know how much the sink is scratched, and I don't think there's a
miracle cure. I want to recommend a product that cleans & polishes
at once: Bar Keepers Friend.
