Which BKF Product for What Surface?

So, which BKF product is used for what surface? That question was easy to answer a few decades ago because only one product existed. Today, Bar Keepers Friend has eleven products, from the original Bar Keepers Friend Cleanser to our newest product, EZ-Flush! Some of our products have specific purposes, while others are more general. Many BKF products cross over and can be used to clean the same surfaces. What they all have in common is they get the job done. Here’s a shortlist to help you learn which products work best on what surfaces in your home.

Which BKF Product for What Surface?

Bar Keepers Friend Cleanser

Although the original cleanser is used on many surfaces, we highly recommend it for glass, bronze, aluminum, and stainless steel.

MORE Spray + Foam

This quick, easy-to-use product works wonders on brass, copper, and bronze alloys. Like the original cleanser, it’s recommended for stainless steel and aluminum. It’s also highly effective on porcelain, ceramic, glass, and Corian.

Soft Cleanser

Here’s where it gets interesting. Soft Cleanser works on the same surfaces as the original and, like MORE Spray + Foam, can also be used on porcelain, ceramic, and Corian. The difference is that, unlike the original, it’s a premixed formulation for quick cleaning tasks. Since it clings to vertical surfaces, this liquid cleanser is excellent for cleaning glass shower doors, the inside of your fridge, or other vertical surfaces.

Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish

Specialized for stainless steel, it is especially formulated for stainless steel appliances and is not recommended for other metals. So go back to Soft Cleanser for bronze, copper, and brass. The Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish not only cleans and shines but can even be used to remove rust.

Cookware Cleanser & Polish

Formulated to remove those hard-to-clean burnt-on food messes, it’s recommended for stainless steel and glass. It cuts through baked-on food grime so well because it has 50% more grease-cutting detergents than our other cleansers.

Cooktop Cleaner

The Cooktop Cleaner can be used on glass and ceramic cooking surfaces, ceramic dinner and serving ware, and metal cookware and serving ware. While cleaners with harsh abrasives can scratch and dull these surfaces, the Cooktop Cleaner wipes away cooking oils and even baked-on grime without damaging the surface.

Granite & Stone Cleaner & Polish

This cleaner is perfect for polished stone, such as granite and marble, sealed concrete, travertine, soapstone, and most types of quartz. It is pH-balanced to not only clean stone surfaces but also protect them from damage.
