2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician – Full-Time – Indianapolis

Pay rate: $27-$30 Based on Experience

2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain PLC and digital electronic controllers and wiring. Repair motor controls, hydraulics, and pneumatic circuits, conveyors, seamers, mixing, and conveying equipment including mixers, elevators, fillers, cappers, silos, case packers and palletizing equipment mixers and palletizer robots.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Generate parts request to ensure adequate spare parts inventory.
  • Perform equipment changeovers and production line set-ups.
  • Work within cross-functional teams to develop strategies for improving plant performance.

Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment as a maintenance mechanic
  • Ability to work 2nd shift hours Monday through Thursday 4pm 2:30 am
  • Be able to work overtime on Fridays.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical circuits
  • Ability to interpret schematic, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
  • An understanding of machinery and equipment related industrial manufacturing
  • Be able to work on Fridays and OT when needed.

Physical Demands:

  • Be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, lift and drive equipment consecutively for up to 10 hrs. a day with or without accommodation.
  • Be able to reach, pinch, and conduct visual and hearing inspections with or without accommodations
  • The ideal candidate can work on the production floor in a noisy environment
