The World Food Championships are right around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited!
Bar Keepers Friend is proud to be the Official Clean Team sponsor for the World Food Championships – hosted for the first time here in Indianapolis.

What is the World Food Championships?
According to the World Food Championship website:
“The World Food Championships (WFC) is the premier food sport competition globally. This multi-day, live culinary event showcases some of the world’s best cooks competing for food, fame, and fortune across twelve categories: Bacon, Barbecue, Burger, Chef, Dessert, Live Fire, Noodle, Rice, Sandwich, Seafood, Soup, and Vegetarian.
Each year, thousands of teams vie for a coveted Golden Ticket at 800+ official international qualifiers to earn their spot at WFC. Since its debut in 2012, the event has attracted participants from nearly 40 countries and every state in the U.S.”
The 2024 World Food Championships will be hosted at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center in Indianapolis. This will be our city’s first time hosting the WFC and our first time as a sponsor.
What’s Clean Team?
The WFC Clean Team is responsible for quickly and efficiently cleaning, sanitizing, and resetting all cooking stations between rounds. Bar Keepers Friend team members will lead the turn-over process between food categories, and provide the tools they need to get the job done: sponges, microfiber cloths, disinfectants, degreasers, and of course, Bar Keepers Friend cleansers.
With about 40 cleaning stations operating concurrently for five days straight, it’s safe to assume things will get a little crazy. Luckily, we’re the perfect team for the job!
Be on the lookout for the washers, the scrubbers, the rinsers, and the sweepers in the bright blue CLEAN TEAM t-shirts – and be sure to cheer them on!
What’s This About a Booth?
You heard correctly!
Bar Keepers Friend will have a booth at the World Food Championships. You can find us at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. We’ll be in “Section 11” (see graphic below) with other spectacular WFC partners and sponsors.
Throughout the day, we’ll be presenting live cleaning demos, giving away samples (and swag, of course), as well as hosting daily raffles. We’ve got more stuff in store for the show, but you’ll have to drop by our booth to find out what it’s all about!
